If your pet needs to be put on a chain or is a danger to other campers they will have to stay in your camper.

We LOVE this campground, but the last few times we reserved a site with 50 amps and it was only 30. There seemed to be a few of these.

Great city campground. Water and electric at each site. Dump station on site. A little way off the road but quiet with some train noise. Good location to go see the Golden Spike Union Pacific train depot.

Hi, Laura! Unfortunately we are not able to be present on location 24/7. Reservations are now made online, and even when the office is closed, all campground information needed can be located outside the office. We also have provided several ways to get ahold of us if needed. You may speak to us through the ring doorbell, or text/call the number listed on the office door. If we are unable to answer right away, we will respond to your text or voicemail as soon as possible.

Requested a pull through site, wasn’t able to exit site due to other campers parking in front of my site, had to unhook toad….the sites are not level…

Great campground, friendly staff, very clean bathrooms/showers.. most sites have trees… this is my second time staying here- both times for a week! Can’t go wrong staying here!!! Come enjoy!

We stayed in our travel trailer at Lafayette Park on 6/30/22. The campground is on the north side of Gothenburg so we got to drive thru town and see the pony express station. There are lots of very mature cottonwood trees that provide shade. We had water and electricity hookups. We used the restrooms which were very clean. The campground is right next to a large park with a lake. Our camp site was level and had a picnic table. We also used the on site dump station. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend this RV campground.

We love this spot because it is quiet, located in a “park” setting and tranquil. I wish they had sewer hookups though.

A gem in the middle of small town NE:) The owners are so friendly and accommodating. The bathrooms were spotless, the trail around the lake well maintained, and the grounds were quiet even though you are on the outskirts of Gothenburg...look forward to going back!

Very nice quiet campground. Huge trees everywhere and only 2 other campers in the whole place. It's a little hard to find, off the main highway a bit, but well worth the search.

Nice place. A little out dated, and the showers should have shower stalls and not just shower curtains between showers.

I liked this little campground. We stayed overnight. It has a good waking path, next to a lake. My husband said it was more rustic than he would like. You can hear the trains but that didn’t bother me. Campsites are kinda close but we were nearly alone so it didn’t matter. Overall clean and neat. And you need cash-remember that. Did not use the showers.

The host was welcoming and kind. She answered our questions and made sure we had what we needed. The bathroom and showers were clean and easily accessible. It looks like a lovely town. We wish we had had more time to explore the area. We would definitely come here again.

We liked this campground, we liked grass. You can hear the trains, lots of them; but far enough away it is a comforting sound. Lots of warm water for shower.

Very nice quiet park. Right next to a beautiful lake and a walkway threw covered bridge. The only reason I didn’t give it a full 5 stars it’s because of the Internet or should I say lack there of. If you were just on vacation and when I get quiet spot this is great…. if you’re trying to work on the road this is not so great otherwise will be back on our trip through Nebraska again!

Love the camp hosts. She did make accomodations to get me as close as possible to where I needed to be. It was very clean, and we enjoyed our time there. Also decently priced.

Could use new restrooms and showers. Not cleaned daily. Spinners by mirrors, floors of showers not scrubbed. Full hookups and charging more would be ok. Love the attached park/lake.

Campsite no grass a lot of dust. BBQ is fabulous get it early. So good it goes fast. Wish they had a website instead of having to call. Not always easy on the road. Really nice folks who run it!

We stayed one night at the campground. The site was clean with water and 50A electric. There is an available dump station. Access to the park, which is adjacent to Lake Helen Recreation area, is easy from the freeway. The grassy park, with plenty of large shade trees was an enjoyable setting for our short stay. Walking trails in the park and Recreation area are great for stretching your legs after a day on the road. We will definitely return when our travels pass this way.
