Mike is a very nice man. When I discovered the the slope from my RV sewer connection up to the campsite sewer drain was too steep he helped me find a new site immediately. I wasn’t expecting all the airplanes flying overhead but, being as close to all the site seeing more than made up for it. We will stay here again.

Our daughter lives in Monterey so we visit usually about 4 to 5 times a year. Stay usually 2 to 10 days at the campsite. We have had nothing but great experience we love the place is walking distance to our daughter in Delmonte by Monterey so there’s a lot of different things that you can walk to but as far as the campsite and that people that run it, they are wonderful. They’re sweet nice and we’ve had no problems whatsoever. We appreciate it will be back for the holidays as we always are for the last 10 years thank you guys.

i enjoyed our stay the people running the park were great

A total of 1 primitive shower and 2 toilets per gender for the entire campsite is not enough. Also, it turns out to be located right next to the airport. This campsite is just a parking lot. Given the cost (75$ per night) this is not good value for money.

Camp host was great! Clean place easy access to activities. We used this as a place to simply sleep. Not much time spent other than that.

parking lot camping. gravel on more than half of spaces. limited shade but the location in Monterey is within 5 miles of Wharf, Aquarium, and Cannery Row. Bike trail is great along the Bay. Close to Carmel

We had a great experience this week in your RV park. There are many things to see in Monterey and this is a great central location

This park is convenient to downtown, is a nice setting for a Fairground. Sites are mostly not level, but are roomy and paved up toward the front. Do not like the 7 pm rule: gate closes at 7, so if you're out and don't have your code, you can just sleep on the sidewalk or get a motel room. They don't care.

We've stayed at the Monterey Fairgrounds campground 3 times over the last 30yrs. It's a go to for an overnight, or maybe 2 or 3 nights, only because of the close proximity to downtown Monterey. The sites for larger RV's are unusually unlevel, so much so that your wheels come way off the ground. You have to be prepared for that anomaly. The sewer connections are at the back of the site, so unless you have a hose extensions, you can't connect or dump. I dumped at a sewer site in the NE area of the campground when we left, along a fence line. The campground is basically a paved parking lot, and it's tight. Toads are required to park away from campsites in a dirt/woodchip parking lot nearby, next to the bathrooms. The massive oak trees are gorgeous, but one branch hangs low to interfere with tall rigs, be careful. A golf course is right next door, so there is an occasional golf ball that lands in the parking lot. There was a collection of lost balls sitting at the sewer connection I dumped at. The campground is gated at night, with an entry code, so make sure you arrive before closing hours to check in.

Our stay in the RV park was wonderful, thanks to Ray. The place was busy, but clean and well-organized. Ray was always available and easy to find, if needed. He was all over the grounds. I worried that noise would be an issue because of car week, but it was always quiet by 10 p.m.. Thanks for a great stay. We'll be back in September.

We stayed August 4 to August 10, 2024. Very nice staff. on the lower end of the RV park the spaces are very generous. price is reasonable with Veterans and senior discounts. This was our 2nd time. Really like the central location very close to Fisherman's wharf, Pacific Gove and Carmel. We will be coming back soon!

This was our first time to this RV park. Spaces were great, hookups were easy, bathrooms were clean, staff was great, and the campgrounds were very secure at night. There is a small airport near by but it wasn’t that big of a deal

You will have a basic site. There is no picnic table or fire ring, the site is clean and leveling up was easy and the ground is uniform gravel. None of this being a surprise when we booked. The Location of fairgrounds gets ‘five stars’. You are minutes from the hiway 101, seaside, Monterey, pacific grove and Carmel. Be aware you are in the airport landing and take off flight pattern. Three are at least two flights out every morning between 5:15am and 5:30am. Also, Be very mindful that the entrance into the RV area looks very straightforward but you WILL bottom out unless you are very strategic. The drive is precarious. The gates are locked at night and you are given a code to come and go. None of these things will keep us from staying here again. The location is terrific!

The personal was very friendly but the place was just a parking spot without a table or anything else. The other camper is directly next to you. It was too expensive for what you get.

The back of our trailer looked out on the golf course, which was really pretty and they supplied us with an electrical adapter that we needed at no charge. It was very nice place.

Thank you. We had a great week in Monterey in August. One morning was without fog...gotta love the coast! Very good bathroom maintenance. A light in the shower would be good and some hooks for towel and clothing. Trash cans so handy and picked up regularly! Location was convenient and the planes nearby were minimal. Very good for an expensive location! We were very thankful! Thank you Monterey Fairgrounds RV!!!

I really wanted to give this park a good review, but I couldn't. It's clean and well kept, but it ends there. You are in the direct flight path of the airport and its runway. So plans are right overhead. I mean RIGHT overhead. You could see someone wave at you from their window seat. There isn't a lot of them, but they started up at 5am and when they are right overhead, you know. And lastly was this. The sites had maybe 7 of us. Not spread out, but right up against your neighbor. Why they can't give you at least one site (If not reserved) in between for a little space and privacy is beyond me. I sat on my couch in my trailer and was maybe 5 feet from my neighbor on his. I ended up leaving a day early and only spent one of my two nights there before heading home.
