We had the best time at the Rio Vista Resort. We rented an RV Site #32 for our Imagine Grand Design RV. The park is right on the water and since our stay was not on the weekend and in April prior to the prime Summer Season it was not crowded at all. The park has nice shady spots, as well as sunny ones and full hookups. The park was clean with plenty of concrete docks to fish or swim off of and my husband caught 7 bass while we were there. They have plenty of amenities for families to enjoy. A playground for the little tots, a little mini putt-putt, Rec Hall with a pool table, ping pong table, pool and hot tub, and splash pads for the kiddos. So, if fishing is not your thing there are other activities for the family. They also have public restrooms and showers, and a laundry for those wanting to stay for a longer time, or do not have a shower they use in their camper. They also have a boat launch, with docks along the waterfront. I really like that they have cottages to rent as well, so if you have family members who don't camp, they can rent a cottage and be close by. It is only about 19 minutes over to Marble Falls where one of the best cafes in the area exist in the Blue Bonnet Cafe. It is a nice area and the family running the campground are so nice and welcoming. I would highly recommend it to any family wanting to have a rental on LBJ, and I know we will be back. It's not a very big park, so we didn't end up using our bikes that we took, unlike a state park where you have plenty of space, but it is a nice area and well maintained. Highly recommend it!

There was construction next door and the cable was disconnected by a contractor’s tractor clearing the land. The RV part was not as “resort” as the photos show. We put up a tent for our older son and his wife not knowing tenting wasn’t allowed but on a cold rainy weekend the manager gave us permission to keep it up..
