We stay in this park every time we come to San Antonio! We appreciate that it is close to downtown and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful!

Wow,what a depressing park, the creepy people that live there full time, mental illness or addiction. When you think river walk, you imagine beauty, not Juarez. Filthy, looks like trash in Juarez.

We stayed there back in January 2016 and was very disappointed. The backside of the campground is full of live-in and the front is short time. The site they gave us did not work because of the height of the water hookup we could not put out our slide. They moved us to another site and the water was leaking everywhere. They sent someone over there to do a temporary fix but the site stayed wet and muddy while we were there for three days. Campground is located on a busy street and road noise, fire truck, police, buses and trucks were constant - all night long. For a one night over night stay it may be okay but much longer is not. We will not stay there again as there are many other locations that are nicer. Our original site was to have cable and the second site did not and we had to fight with them over the difference in price also as we did not have cable. Not really fond of this site nor the area where it was located thus police all night.

Campground Response

It is too bad that you did not enjoy your stay with us at the River Walk RV Park a year ago. Many changes/improvements have taken place over the past year, as the current management group has just been running the park for (just over) two years. We no longer offer cable-sites, but instead encourage our guests to put up their antennas to get access to many local stations. It is true that we are in the city (and San Antonio is a big one) with one of our city's fire departments just down the block; our guests appreciate our proximity to not only major thoroughfares (I-10, I-35, 410 Loop), but also to the downtown (River Walk/Alamo) area. The city bus stop just outside of our park entrance is a big pull for the majority of our guests, since public transportation can get them downtown and back at a very affordable rate.
